Notary Public
A notary public has internationally recognised authority to witness signatures on legal documents, administer oaths and certify the authenticity of legal documents.
Points to note about Williams McKenzie Notary service:
• Appointments are essential. Williams McKenzie will endeavour to arrange appointments at short notice for urgent matters, if at all possible.
• Documents to be notarised must be brought in at least 2 days before the appointment so that we can assess what is required and prepare supporting certificates.
• The Notary fee depends on the size and complexity of the documents required to be notarised. There is a minimum charge of $120 plus GST.
• Payment is required at the time of your appointment. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available.
• Passport or driver’s licence must be brought to the appointment.
• If the document being notarised refers to a specific identity document, the notary will need to sight that particular document.
• If you need to sign any documents, DO NOT sign them until your appointment as the Notary must witness you signing them.
